Duration: 3 months contract
Pay Rate: 38 – 40 GBP /hour Inside IR35 (PAYE)
About the Role
- We are looking for a Game Economy Designer to join an award-winning gaming studio, working on one of the industry's leading rhythm-action games.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven gaming professional who wants to work at the intersection of game economy, player behaviour, analytics, and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the analytical framework for game economy health
- Analyse currencies, progression systems, rewards, pricing and monetization
- Define and monitor KPIs for engagement, retention and commercial performance
- Conduct player behaviour, cohort and feature-impact analysis
- Develop forecasting and predictive models for revenue, LTV, retention and content performance
- Build dashboards and reporting for leadership
- Support live operations, content releases, events and campaigns
- Partner with Game Design, Production, Engineering, Marketing and Data Science teams
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in game analytics, game economy, game product management, data science or a related analytical gaming role
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R
- Hands-on understanding of game economy systems, progression, currencies, rewards, pricing and monetization
- Experience analyzing player engagement, retention, segmentation, cohorts and LTV
- Experience with Tableau, Looker or equivalent dashboarding tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Live-service / F2P / GaaS gaming experience
- Predictive modelling, LTV, churn or forecasting
- A/B testing and causal inference
- VR/MR gaming experience
- Live Ops analytics
- Music/rhythm game experience
- Experience applying AI to game analytics
- Familiarity with large-scale data analytics platform
