An opportunity has arisen for a Garage Technician to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

About the role

To provide the workshop and trackside garage technician function, in support of the Jaguar Formula E Teams daily operational goals.

What you will do

  • Operate as a Garage Technician both at the factory and at trackside events.
  • Manage the team’s wheel and tyre inventory in collaboration with Engineering, including preparation, TPMS unit fitting, and event management (session pressure adjustments, tyre running, supplier/engineering liaison).
  • Plan and administer team truck operations, including loading, inventory control, supplier liaison, and unit booking for events.
  • Maintain all team consumable stocks in liaison with Chief Mechanics, ensuring timely re-stock ordering and follow-up.
  • Oversee the team pit equipment and off-car hardware in liaison with Chief/#1 Mechanics, ensuring readiness, proactive daily maintenance, repairs, and correct storage.
  • Support the assembly and maintenance of race and test garage infrastructures, including repair and upkeep of garage equipment and packhorses.
  • Assist with freight operations, including organisation, packing, loading/unloading of shipments, and preparation of documentation (Carnet lists, truck inventories).
  • Act as the key contact for storage of pit equipment (current and historic), maintaining PDN documents and inventory records.
  • Ensure all Jaguar Racing workshop, race, and test locations remain organised, clean, and operationally efficient, utilising offsite storage as needed.
  • Escalate equipment or operational issues to management promptly.
  • Adhere to Jaguar Formula E and wider business processes and policies.
  • Comply with safety regulations at all venues.

About you

  • Motorsport event garage operational experience (both factory and trackside).
  • Experience in tyre management at race / test events, including pressure adjustments and liaison with engineers and suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of race truck preparation / operation and stock keeping.
  • Familiarity with road and air freight operations.
  • A confident, self-starting team player, adaptable to the fast-paced, dynamic requirements of race and test environments.
