Garden Centre Assistant – Full Time

Do you enjoy working with people and have a passion for gardening, plants, and customer service? We're looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable Garden Centre Assistant to join our team at Caulders Garden Centre, Linlithgow. Please note a UK driving licence is required for this role.
As part of our Garden Centre team, you'll help create a welcoming shopping experience for our customers while maintaining the high standards Caulders is known for.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming customers and providing excellent customer service.
- Assisting customers with product enquiries and purchases.
- Caring for and watering plants.
- Replenishing stock and creating attractive product displays.
- Pricing and merchandising products throughout the garden centre.
- Completing deliveries and collections when required.
- Operating the tills and processing cash and card payments.
- Helping keep the garden centre clean, tidy, and well presented.
- Supporting with seasonal changes and promotions.
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the centre.

What We're Looking For
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
- An interest in gardening or horticulture would be an advantage.
- A positive, friendly, and approachable attitude.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and work in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends as part of your regular shift pattern.

Details
- Location: Caulders Garden Centre, Cauldcoats Holdings, Linlithgow, EH49 7LY
- Hours: Full Time position available (4-5 days), including regular weekday and weekend working.
- Pay: National Minimum Wage (dependent on age and experience).
