Role Description
The Garden Centre Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlecote, responsible for overseeing all aspects of garden centre operations. Day-to-day duties include:

The role involves ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high visual merchandising standards, overseeing stock levels, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure product availability and quality. The manager will:
- Monitor sales performance
- Implement promotional activities
- Ensure the centre meets financial targets
- Uphold health and safety, compliance, and site presentation standards
Collaboration with restaurant and other departments, handling customer feedback, and contributing to local marketing initiatives are also key parts of the role.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail or garden centre management, including team leadership and day-to-day operational oversight.
- Strong customer service and people management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Knowledge of gardening, plants, or horticulture, or a strong interest in developing expertise in these areas.
- Ability to manage stock, merchandising, and sales performance, with a focus on achieving commercial targets.
- Competence in basic IT systems and point-of-sale operations, as well as handling reports and administrative tasks.
- Understanding of health and safety, compliance, and best practice in a retail or garden centre environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work flexibly, including weekends and peak periods.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a customer-facing environment; horticultural or retail qualifications are an advantage.
