One of North London’s leading garden contractors. The team specialises in both garden maintenance, and full design and implementation of outdoor spaces. The company is known for high-quality workmanship and attention to detail across a wide range of residential and commercial projects. Garden operatives join a professional, experienced team committed to creating and maintaining attractive, functional gardens for clients in the London area.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Garden Operative role based in the North London Area. The Garden Operative will carry out day-to-day tasks such as, pruning, mowing, weeding, and general garden maintenance to keep outdoor spaces healthy and well-presented. Responsibilities include maintaining borders and lawns, hedge trimming and using appropriate tools and machinery safely. The role involves working outdoors in all seasons, adhering to health and safety procedures, and providing a professional, courteous service to clients. The Garden Operative will collaborate with other team members, follow instructions from supervisors, and help ensure projects are completed on time and to company standards.

  • Practical gardening skills, including planting, pruning, lawn care, and general garden maintenance.
  • Ability to read and follow garden designs and plans, with a good eye for detail and presentation.
  • Experience using garden tools and machinery safely, with awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a reliable and punctual work approach.
  • Previous experience in professional gardening, landscaping, or horticulture is beneficial.
  • Relevant horticultural training or qualifications (e.g., RHS or equivalent) are an advantage but not essential.
  • Valid right to work in the United Kingdom and ability to travel to sites within the London area.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.
