Introduction
We are looking for someone who can provide high quality, customer focused and responsive service to Lewisham residents.
What’s the role?
Put simply, our gardeners maintain the shared green spaces on our estates. They take pride in ensuring that our residents live in an environment that is clean, tidy, and pleasant.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining communal gardens and green spaces
- Ensuring the safe use of appropriate chemicals, other materials, and equipment
- Identifying and reporting any welfare/safeguarding concerns about vulnerable residents
- Identifying and reporting nuisance, anti-social behavior or criminal behavior and provide evidence to support enforcement action – including the provision of information on individuals, actively looking for evidence as required, and providing witness statements
- Looking after and using appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment, including mobile phones, personal safety devices and vehicles, when appropriate

Location
Our gardeners work at and from a variety of locations across the borough.
Special conditions
- A clean, full manual UK/EU driver's licence with Category B is desirable
- The job is subject to a basic DBS check

Salary
£32,112 - £32,571 per annum (Scale 3)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
