Job Description

Location: Reed Business School, Cotswolds
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (Family Leave Cover)
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Nestled in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside, Reed Business School is home to a stunning Arts and Crafts garden that plays a central role in the character and appeal of our unique campus. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Deputy Head Gardener to join our dedicated garden team on a fixed-term basis to cover a period of family leave.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate horticulturist who enjoys working hands-on in a diverse and evolving garden while supporting and leading a talented team.

About the Role

As Deputy Head Gardener, you will work closely alongside the Head Gardener and wider team to maintain and enhance our extensive Arts and Crafts garden. You'll be actively involved in all aspects of gardening while helping to guide and support the team through your knowledge, experience, and positive approach.

The role offers a great blend of practical horticulture and people leadership. You'll be trusted to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the garden whenever the Head Gardener is absent, ensuring high standards are maintained across the estate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
