DOMESTIC COUPLE – GARDENER/GROUNDSMAN & HOUSEKEEPER
Rural Ross-shire | Live-in 2 bed cottage | Start February 2027
A wonderful opportunity for an experienced, hands-on couple to join a young family at their beautiful nine-bedroom Highland lodge in rural Ross-shire. This is a brand-new position for a couple who enjoy rural living and are looking for a long-term role.
Housekeeper
An experienced housekeeper with excellent attention to detail is sought. No childcare is required, as the family employ a full-time nanny for their three children but would best suit a child-orientated housekeeper. Duties will include:

Gardener/Groundsman
An experienced sole gardener/groundsman is required to maintain approximately three acres of formal garden and grounds within the wider estate. Duties will include:
- Herbaceous borders, shrubs and general garden maintenance
- Pruning, weeding and hedge cutting
- Chainsaw work and log splitting
- General grounds and estate maintenance
- Laying and maintaining fires
- Other practical outdoor duties as required together with ad hoc driving for errands

The couple must be practical, proactive and hands-on, with a genuine appreciation for country living. Two drivers preferred due to rural location but only one essential.
Accommodation
A two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage is provided within the grounds, with its own garden. All costs covered.
Hours
- Gardener/Groundsman: Monday–Friday, 9-5 or 8-4
- Housekeeper: Monday–Friday, 9–4
Role to commence in February 2027, interviewing now. Salary negotiable according to experience up to £70k gross pa.
