We’re looking for a passionate Gardening Volunteer to help develop and maintain the garden at our supported living service in Chapeltown. Volunteering with Creative Support is a great opportunity to make a real difference, enriching the lives of people with support needs.
The service has a large garden which we would like to develop into a more welcoming space for the people we support to enjoy. Our contract gardener is responsible for the basic maintenance of the space but we are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to take it to the next level! Activities may include planting flowers and vegetables, tending to beds, and helping keep our outdoor spaces tidy and welcoming. If you have a passion for gardening and bringing ideas to life, we’d be delighted to hear from you!
This role is for a supported living service in Chapeltown, supporting adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities. The service is located around a 15-minute walk from Chapeltown station.

- Work with staff to plan a more engaging and enjoyable garden space, in line with the needs and interests of the people we support
- Engage in gardening activities including planting, watering and light maintenance
- Ensure all areas are tidied and tools are cleaned and stored appropriately
- Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members
- Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries
- Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided
