Garment Compliance Coordinator, Office based in Derby, £30-35k 6 months FTC

Are you experienced within garments, textiles, product compliance or technical administration within the clothing or textile industry and looking for a varied temporary role where you can quickly make an impact?

We are recruiting for an established apparel business that has developed strong compliance, CSR and supply-chain processes and now needs additional support following a change within its garment technical team. This is a hands-on position supporting the day-to-day administration and coordination behind garment compliance, product information, labelling, testing and supplier documentation.

This could suit someone with around 2–3 years’ experience within garment technology, textile compliance, sourcing, product administration or a similar technical environment, who is organised, detail-focused and comfortable working with suppliers, product information and compliance documentation.

Working closely with the wider Product and Compliance teams, you will support areas including:

  • Maintaining garment and product compliance documentation.
  • Supporting product specification sheets and technical information.
  • Checking and maintaining product labelling information.
  • Coordinating garment testing documentation and test reports.
  • Maintaining supplier, factory and accreditation records.
  • Supporting REACH, OEKO-TEX and other relevant textile compliance information.
  • Assisting with packaging and product compliance requirements.
  • Supporting customer requests for ESG, CSR, testing and factory documentation.
  • Keeping compliance records and supporting documents accurate and up to date.
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain missing technical or compliance information.
  • Assisting with supply-chain mapping and traceability information.
  • Supporting ongoing regulatory and compliance projects.
  • Helping the wider team keep on top of new and changing textile requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience of garment compliance, factory accreditations, REACH, OEKO-TEX, ethical sourcing or CSR would be particularly useful but isn’t essential across every area.

This is a great opportunity to join a business that already takes garment compliance seriously and has invested significantly in understanding its supply chain and regulatory responsibilities. Rather than coming into an environment where everything needs to be built from scratch, you will be helping maintain and support established processes at a time when legislation and customer requirements continue to increase.

The initial requirement is expected to be 6 months, providing important additional support to the existing team. Please apply via LinkedIn.
