We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Garment Technologist on 15-month fixed term contract.

You will be responsible for the fit and quality of manufacture of seasonal ranges of clothing and apparel ranges, in line with critical path deadlines.

What will you be doing?

  • Create and maintain garment size specifications and grading within PLM.
  • Fit and evaluate prototype and pre-production samples, recommending improvements to suppliers.
  • Manage fit model appointments and invoices.
  • Assess garment quality, construction, and supplier compliance.
  • Oversee products through the full lifecycle, identifying risks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage product approvals through to gold seal and shipment.
  • Analyse customer returns and implement corrective actions to improve fit and quality.
  • Review and approve supplier submissions, including care labels, barcodes, and test reports.
  • Conduct wearer trials and use feedback to enhance product performance.
  • Review third-party brand samples and develop new fits where required.
  • Coordinate quality-related reprocessing activities with third-party suppliers.

Who are we looking for?

Essential Knowledge

  • Experience of working with men’s, women’s, children’s and baby clothing within a global sports or lifestyle brand
  • Experience of pattern cutting, grading and the creation of technical specifications
  • Experience of working with clothing manufacturers based across Asia and Europe
  • Knowledge of a diverse range of clothing products
  • Knowledge of PLM or SharePoint based systems

Essential Functional / Technical Skills

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent time management
  • Ability to present accurate information in a clear manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple priorities
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office packages

Your main base will be the distribution Centre in Whiston.
