Garment Technologist / Senior Garment Technologist - Ladieswear

Birmingham

Are you passionate about product quality, garment fit, and delivering beautifully crafted womenswear? Our client is a well-established fashion brand with a reputation for creating timeless clothing that women love season after season. Combining quality, style, and attention to detail, they are looking for an experienced Garment Technologist to join their growing team and play a pivotal role in maintaining exceptional product standards across their ladieswear collections.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing fit, technical standards, and quality expectations from initial concept through to production
  • Leading weekly fit sessions alongside the Buying team, providing expert technical guidance and recommendations
  • Measuring, evaluating, and reviewing fit samples, producing accurate specifications and grading information
  • Communicating garment construction, fit amendments, and quality standards clearly to suppliers
  • Ensuring consistency of fit and quality across all product categories
  • Creating and managing specification sheets in line with critical path deadlines
  • Working closely with Buying teams and suppliers to ensure styles are sealed and delivered on time
  • Assisting with sample management, stock buys, and maintaining organized sample areas

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Garment Technologist within ladieswear ideally
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern cutting, fit and grading
  • Excellent technical and commercial awareness
  • A keen eye for detail and passion for delivering quality products
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with suppliers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and hit critical deadlines
  • Experience using electronic workbooks and technical specification systems
