Nova of London Ltd is looking for an Assistant Garment Technologist to join our fast-paced womenswear technical team.
This is a specialist Garment Technology role, requiring relevant technical experience rather than a primarily fashion design background.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure garments and prepare fit logs, specifications, and technical comments.
- Attend fit sessions and identify fit and construction issues.
- Review grading and ensure consistent fit across the size range.
- Assess garment construction, stitching, finishing, and workmanship.
- Understand how fabrics affect garment fit and construction.
- Review samples from development through to pre-production approval.
- Provide clear technical and fit comments to overseas factories.
- Review test reports and monitor sample approvals.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 1 year's commercial Garment Technology experience.
- Strong understanding of garment patterns, fit, and construction.
- Good knowledge of measurements, specifications, and grading.
- Good understanding of woven and knitted fabrics.
- Ability to identify fit and construction issues and communicate clearly with factories.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
