Gas Assessor and Tutor, Bristol

Come off the tools without losing the trade. This is a chance to pass on years of gas experience to the next generation of engineers, with a training provider that will fund the teaching and assessing qualifications you need to get there.

The role

You will train and assess learners working towards ACS qualifications and gas apprenticeships, from a Bristol training centre. The work splits between practical, hands-on delivery in the workshop and classroom instruction, along with preparing lesson plans and materials, maintaining assessment records, and taking apprentices through to completion.

Day to day you will:

  • Deliver ACS training and assessment including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1
  • Assess and support gas apprentices through their qualifications
  • Keep delivery in line with current Gas Safe, HSE and awarding body standards
  • Give learners honest feedback and the pastoral support that keeps them on programme
  • Maintain a safe, well-run training environment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Communication and the ability to motivate people matter as much as technical knowledge here, particularly with apprentices who are new to the trade.
