Gas Engineer and Maintenance Team Member
The Gas Engineer and Maintenance Team Member will be an integral part of ensuring the smooth operation and excellent condition of the park's facilities, owners' holidays homes and hire fleet. Working within a team, your responsibilities will encompass routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and contributing to a welcoming and safe environment for guests. Responsibility will also include installing, maintaining, and repairing LPG systems and appliances. You ensure the safety and efficiency of LPG installations, following industry regulations and best practices.
Duties

Site Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of holiday homes, ensuring utilities and amenities are in proper working order.
- Address and resolve issues related to individual holiday homes promptly.

Facility Upkeep
- Maintain and repair public facilities within the holiday park, including bathrooms, common areas, and recreational amenities.

Utility Systems
- Inspect and maintain utility systems such as water, sewage, and electrical systems throughout the holiday park.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving utility-related issues.

Installation of LPG Systems
- Install LPG systems for holiday homes, considering safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
- Connect appliances, regulators, and piping to the LPG supply, ensuring proper ventilation and adherence to safety standards.

Routine Maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of LPG systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance on regulators, valves, and other components to prevent leaks or malfunctions.

Repairs and Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair faults in LPG systems, including identifying and fixing leaks, replacing faulty components, and addressing burner or ignition issues.
- Troubleshoot problems in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.

Gas Appliance Installation
- Install and connect LPG-powered appliances, such as heaters, boilers, stoves, and water heaters, ensuring proper operation and compliance with safety standards.

Regulatory Compliance
- Stay updated on relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing LPG installations.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with industry best practices and legal requirements.

Guest Interaction
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing maintenance-related inquiries and concerns.

Safety Compliance
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe manner.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures during installations and repairs.
- Report safety hazards promptly to the Maintenance Manager.
- Communicate with clients to understand their LPG requirements and provide recommendations for installations or upgrades.
- Educate customers on the safe and proper use of LPG appliances.

Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members to accomplish tasks efficiently.

Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, LPG installations, repairs including work completed, materials used, and any additional notes.
- Complete required paperwork, including compliance certificates and documentation for regulatory authorities.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and contribute to the development of preventive maintenance schedules.

Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, such as gas leaks or system failures.
- Any other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the Company.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of gas safety regulations and codes.
- Practical experience in LPG system installations and maintenance.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
