Gas Engineering Supervisor — Mobile, London
JLL | Workplace Management
You've got the skills, the tickets, and years of commercial gas experience under your belt. But you're still just another engineer on the rota, watching opportunities go to people with less ability but better timing.
What if you could actually lead? Not just boss people around, but genuinely develop a team, influence standards across landmark sites, and get recognized for the expertise you've spent years building.
We're looking for a Gas Engineering Supervisor who's ready to step up — not into a made-up title with no real authority, but into genuine leadership on some of London's most prestigious commercial properties.
Why this role is different
Real leadership, not just a fancy title
You'll lead, mentor, and develop a team of gas engineers across multiple high-profile sites. Actual authority to make decisions, set standards, and shape how gas engineering is delivered across the portfolio.
Work that challenges you
Landmark commercial properties with complex plant rooms, sophisticated BMS systems, and heating installations that require proper expertise. Not domestic boiler swaps or the same breakdowns on repeat.
Career progression that exists
Clear pathways to senior supervisor, contracts manager, and regional leadership roles. JLL promotes from within because we'd rather develop talent than parachute in outsiders who don't know the operation.
Development investment you'll use
Structured training programs, technical upskilling, and leadership development. Access to industry experts, modern FM practices, and the kind of professional development that actually advances your career.
A team that backs you
Part of JLL's engineering community with technical support, peer collaboration, and a culture where asking questions makes you smart, not weak. You're leading a team, but you're not doing it alone.
The stability of a global leader
FTSE 250 company with blue-chip clients and long-term contracts. You get the security and resources of a major organization with the autonomy to run your operation properly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
