Job Description: Gas Fitter
Engineering Services, part of the Repairs and Investment, is looking to recruit a Gas Fitter to join our existing team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant C&G qualifications or NVQ with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Sound Gas-related background, including the following qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1. Excellent practical skills and thorough knowledge of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience and a minimum of 2 years remaining on current gas qualifications.
- Unvented HWSS Qualification preferred but not essential.
- Commercial qualifications also preferred but not essential.
Skills and Knowledge
- Experienced in the installation, breakdowns, and servicing of all types of domestic gas appliances.
- Knowledge of control systems would be an advantage.
Job Requirements
- Ability to work under your own supervision or as part of a team providing an efficient, effective, and courteous service to Borough residents.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- A full clean manual driving license is essential.
