Are you an experienced Gas Engineer who takes pride in diagnosing faults, delivering first-time fixes, and providing excellent customer service?

We're looking for a skilled Gas/Heating Operative to join our Building Services team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for servicing, fault-finding, repairing, and maintaining domestic gas boilers, heating systems, controls, and associated equipment across occupied and void properties. You'll play a vital part in keeping residents safe, warm, and comfortable while working to high standards of quality and compliance.

We're looking for engineers who enjoy problem-solving, can work independently, and have a strong focus on customer satisfaction. You'll need current ACS qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CKR1) together with substantial experience in domestic gas and heating repairs. Experience in social housing, gas safety inspections, and achieving high first-time-fix rates would be a significant advantage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
