About The Role
A Gas, Plumbing & Heating Engineer position is available in Banbury, paying between £40,000 and £50,000 per annum for a full-time, permanent contract. Working Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, you will cover a 30-mile radius, handling installation, servicing, fault-finding, and maintenance across both commercial and domestic properties. The role requires proficiency in diagnostics and general plumbing duties. A company van is supplied. The ideal candidate possesses solid experience and relevant qualifications, with an immediate start preferred. We are recruiting two experienced Gas, Plumbing & Heating Engineers to join a respected and growing business based in Banbury. This is a full‑time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, covering a 30‑mile radius of Banbury across both commercial and domestic sites.
The ideal start date is as soon as possible, with a preference for candidates who can begin before the end of August.
The Role
You will carry out a wide range of plumbing, heating and gas‑related work across domestic and commercial properties. This includes installation, servicing, fault‑finding, diagnostics, and maintenance. A company van will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing and repair of heating systems
- Fault‑finding, diagnostics and maintenance
- Gas safety checks and certification
- Responding to planned and reactive jobs
- Completing accurate job sheets and compliance documentation
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining professional standards

Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Gas & Heating Engineer
- Strong plumbing knowledge
- Confident working independently across commercial and domestic environments
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
Essential Qualifications
- Domestic Gas Safe Registration
Highly Desirable
- Commercial Gas Certification
Beneficial
- Unvented hot water systems (G3)
- OFTEC
- Plumbing NVQ Level 2/3
