Your new company

Providing facilities management and infrastructure services across the Defence estate, this organisation plays a vital role in maintaining the environments where the UK's Armed Forces live, work and train. With a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence, the business is committed to delivering high-quality services that support critical national infrastructure.

Your new role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Gas Responsible Person to join the Compliance team, providing expert technical leadership and ensuring the safe operation of gas systems across a diverse and nationally significant portfolio. You will act as the recognised technical authority for gas compliance within your region, ensuring natural gas, LPG and associated systems are managed safely and remain fully compliant with statutory legislation, Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) requirements, and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing gas compliance activities across the estate.
  • Ensuring statutory inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance programmes are delivered effectively.
  • Monitoring and reporting against key compliance requirements.
  • Conducting audits and assurance reviews, identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Providing specialist technical advice on gas infrastructure, procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
  • Supporting the design, installation, and commissioning of new and existing gas systems.
  • Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Managing gas-related risks and maintaining compliance records.
  • Supporting emergency responses and participating in a one-in-four on-call rota.
  • Working closely with contractors and supply chain partners to verify competence and monitor performance.
  • Producing technical reports and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Coaching operational teams and promoting a positive compliance and safety culture.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
