GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Gas Team Leader Grade 4 who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this role
Installation of Gas Infrastructure (On and Off-Site Works). Taking responsibility for a Team.
Your Key Responsibilities Are
- Always Work safely wearing relevant PPE that is supplied.
- Install and commission gas infrastructure as instructed, ensuring that all work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical quality by following all appropriate generic and specific method statements, work procedures and safety instructions.
- Accept delivery of plant and materials and check fitness for purpose prior to use.
- Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment remain in good condition, and report any defects to the Project Manager.
- Identify at an early stage all contract variations and report to the Project Manager and work in accordance with the company Variation and Deviations Procedure.
- Complete site-specific risk assessments daily and ensure maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Act as a Competent Person for ROs and NROs (if assessed as competent).
- Attend Toolbox Talks And Other Training Courses As Required.
- Record accurately details of work undertaken.
- Submit relevant work details for recording and invoicing in the required timescale.
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Project Manager that fall within the general experience scope of the individual.

Qualifications
- GN02 for Main Laying / Service Laying (or equivalent).
- NRSWA certificate for operatives.
- Gas Network Safety Passport. (SHEA).
Experience/Knowledge
- Manual Handling.
- Working on development sites.
- Working in Public Highways.
- Identify and understand Utility Plans.
Abilities/Skills
- Full UK driving license and driving experience.
- Operating Pneumatic equipment.
- Using Mechanical Excavators up to 10T.
Desirable
- GNO 2 ELR.
- Gas Safe Registration.
- CCN1 - Domestic Core Gas Safety.
- MET1 - Domestic Gas Meters.
- REGT1 - Domestic MP Regulator.
- Relevant training in underground safety and confined space.
- Use of camera techniques in live gas mains and services.
Conditions of Employment
- You are required to have your criminal records checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is due to going into customers’ homes.
- You will be required to participate in a standby rota.
- You will hold a driving licence.
