Perimeter Automation is part of the Perimeter Solutions Group, one of the South East's leading commercial fencing, hoarding, and physical security specialists. We design, install, and maintain high-quality gate automation, access control, CCTV, and integrated security solutions for a wide range of clients, including construction sites, industrial facilities, schools, and high-security environments.

THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented and methodical Gate Automation Engineer to join us on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
- Installing automated gates, barriers, bollards, and access control systems.
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing gate automation equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
- Commissioning new installations and ensuring they meet all safety and compliance standards.
- Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with clients.
- Working predominantly across the South East, with occasional overnight stays where required.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in the role, you are to possess the below knowledge and skills.
Essential:
- Proven experience installing, servicing, and maintaining automated gates and access control systems.
- Valid ECS Card.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage your workload.
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to health and safety.

Desirable:
- DHF and/or Gate Safe training.
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, or high-security sites.
- Knowledge of gate automation manufacturers and access control systems.
- Additional industry qualifications such as IPAF or PASMA.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
