We’re Hiring: Gatehouse Security Officer!
📍 Location: Filton, BS34
💰 Pay: £13.67 per hour
📅 Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating early and late shifts - 42 hours per week

As a Gatehouse Security Officer, you’ll be the face and the force behind safety in a highly sensitive aerospace and defence environment. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact every day—protecting people, property, and critical information while delivering a first-class experience to everyone who passes through the gate.
As a Gatehouse Security Officer, you are the first line of defence and the first impression of the site. From controlling access points and verifying credentials to conducting patrols and managing vehicle and personnel searches, you’ll combine vigilance with professionalism in every interaction. Your presence will be reassuring, your judgement trusted, and your role essential.

Responsibilities
Job Description
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Provide an effective security presence and proactive response service.
- Respond and deal with all site risk events in a timely manner.
- Carry out fire prevention duties, fire alarm and sprinkler activation.
- Perform gate duties, ensuring no unauthorised persons or vehicles enter the site, inspect site pass credentials, pass key issue, vehicle and personal searches.
- Ensure that activities are correctly recorded, reported and documented as high quality reports (verbal and/or written).
- Undertake any other duties as determined the management team.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Valid SIA Licence
- Eligibility to work in the UK and 5-year checkable history
- Fit and alert – able to patrol large perimeters and work outdoors
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented

Due to the nature of this opportunity, candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) Clearance
