CCSNH Employer Status and Residency Requirement

CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations, eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.

SCOPE OF WORK

Performs various duties associated with recruiting and enrolling prospective students through marketing, promotional, and outreach activities in support of the College’s enrollment goals. This position reports to the Director of Admissions at Great Bay Community College.

Accountabilities

  • Serves as an admissions recruiter for traditional, non-traditional, full and part-time students in all college programs.
  • Represents the college’s programs at campus visits, high school visits, college fairs, industry events; provides telemarketing and electronic outreach to prospective students from inquiry through enrollment to work towards achieving the college’s enrollment goals.
  • Develops collaborative working relationships with educational partners such as Running Start, faculty, high school guidance counselors and teachers and others as identified.
  • Conducts informational admissions interviews and tours with prospective students.
  • Maintains the Admissions social media platform to provide updates and unique content as outlined in the social media plan.
  • Coordinates and participates in college sponsored recruitment events that target prospective students. These shall include Open House, Group Information Sessions, Express Admission Day, On the Spot Acceptances at High Schools, High School/Adult Education classroom presentations, community-based events, specific program information sessions and other events.
  • Participates in the Admissions and Enrollment Services departmental meetings and discussions. Participates in the design and execution of a comprehensive enrollment management plan with a focus on recruitment and conversion initiatives.
  • Maintains information files on Banner for prospective students. Review admission applications and recommend appropriate action.
  • Assists in the preparation and/or revision of informational and promotional materials and forms related to admissions.
  • Develops data and reports such as recruitment logs, recruitment reports, prospect lists, student contact lists, travel schedule, recruiting budget and ordering promotional materials.
  • Maintains current knowledge of college programs, services, policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all system, college, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree from a recognized college or university in business, marketing, public relations, education, counseling, communications, or related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: Three years’ experience in sales, marketing, business, and/or education involving college admissions, recruiting, public speaking and presentations, individual interviewing and/or providing program information to others. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a valid driver's license and vehicle use. This position will include evening and weekend hours.

Licensure/Certifications: Valid driver’s license and/or access to transportation for statewide travel.

RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of the organization and operations of the departments or college in which position is assigned. Knowledge of the procedures and practices involved in interviewing. Knowledge of record keeping and reporting techniques. Knowledge of the admissions and enrollment policies, procedures, and practices. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts and identify existing or potential problems. Ability to contribute to the development of sound operational procedures. Ability to follow specific instructions in gathering facts, data or resources in organizing required information. Ability to make decisions within the parameters of the rules and policies of the college. Ability to meet with individuals and explain programs sponsored by the department or college in which the position is located. Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.
