About The Role
Job Summary
The South West Secure Data Environment (SWSDE) is seeking a motivated graduate to join the team as a Data Delivery Coordinator, supporting the Senior Data Delivery Manager in the delivery of data services and research projects across the region. The role will provide day-to-day support for activities relating to data onboarding, data availability, feasibility assessments and the coordination of data delivery activities with NHS organisations, researchers and partner institutions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within one of the UK's leading Secure Data Environments, working at the intersection of healthcare, research and data. You will develop knowledge of NHS datasets, research delivery, information governance, data flows, secure data environments and the use of health data to support research and innovation. Working alongside operational, technical and research specialists, you will gain broad exposure to regional and national initiatives while building a strong foundation for a career in health data, data delivery, research management or digital health.
This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers full time hours (36.5 per week) from December 2026 to November 2027. This role offers hybrid where you will work remote and from the University of Exeter.

Purpose of the Role
- Support the delivery of data services and research projects across the SWSDE.
- Assist with activities relating to data onboarding, data availability, feasibility assessments and research delivery.
- Maintain accurate information relating to datasets, projects, stakeholders and delivery activities.
- Support the coordination of interactions between NHS organisations, researchers and internal SWSDE teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data delivery processes, documentation and ways of working.
- Develop practical knowledge of health data, secure data environments, NHS research and data governance.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Support the onboarding, management and use of datasets within the SWSDE, working closely with the Senior Data Delivery Manager and NHS data providers.
- Assist with feasibility assessments by gathering information on data availability, data quality, data flows and research requirements from NHS organisations and partner teams.
- Maintain records relating to datasets, research projects, data providers and delivery activities, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Work with NHS organisations, researchers, universities and internal SWSDE teams to support the successful delivery of research projects and data services.
- Produce reports, presentations and management information to support operational planning, performance monitoring and decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of data delivery processes, guidance, documentation and operational procedures across the SWSDE.

Degree and Attainment
Essential
- A degree (or expected degree award before commencing the placement) in any subject.
- You should have graduated from a UK university in the last 3 years.
- Evidence of strong academic achievement and the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
Desirable
- Degree in a relevant subject such as Health Sciences, Data Science, Business Management, Geography, Social Sciences, Public Health, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.

Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) Scheme Requirements
To undertake a graduate role through the GBP scheme, you must have either achieved your degree or be nearing completion of your final year at any UK-based university.
- If you are nearing completion of your final year, your working hours may be reduced to 15 hours per week (for undergraduates) or 6 hours per week (for postgraduates) to ensure you have the capacity to successfully complete your degree. More hours can be completed if your academic agrees and provides written confirmation.
- If you do not pass your degree, the GBP role will end early.
- You must have graduated in the UK within the last 3 years of your most recent degree (we will consider extenuating circumstances of potential applicants that may have prevented them from undertaking a graduate role within 3 years of graduation).
