Introduction
Wipro is looking for a GCP BigQuery Architect to join our Cloud Data & Analytics team. As a GCP BigQuery Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), helping customers modernize their data landscape and unlock business value through advanced analytics. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to drive cloud transformation initiatives and deliver innovative data solutions.

Your Responsibilities
As a GCP BigQuery Architect, you will be responsible for:
- Designing scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms using Google Cloud and BigQuery
- Leading the migration of enterprise data warehouses and analytics workloads to GCP
- Defining end-to-end data architectures covering ingestion, transformation, governance, storage, and reporting
- Advising clients on cloud modernisation strategies and data platform best practices
- Championing performance optimisation, cost efficiency, security, and operational excellence across cloud data solutions
Mandatory Skills
You will have a solid understanding of:
- Google BigQuery architecture, optimisation, and administration
- SQL, data modelling, dimensional modelling, and data warehousing concepts
- Cloud Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and related GCP services
- Cloud security, IAM, governance, and compliance best practices
- Stakeholder management and translating business requirements into scalable cloud solutions

Desirable Skills
Ideally, you will be familiar with:
- Terraform, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Looker, Tableau, or Power BI integration with BigQuery
- Dataplex, Data Catalog, and Vertex AI
- Enterprise cloud migration and modernisation programmes
- Agile delivery methodologies and large-scale transformation initiatives
