Google Cloud Platform Architect - AI/ML
We’re seeking an experienced AI/ML professional to join a growing GCP Practice team as a GCP AI/ML Practice Architect in a permanent position. In this role, you'll help design, develop, and deliver AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Data Modernisation solutions on Google Cloud Platform, working closely with clients and delivery teams to translate business challenges into scalable, production-ready cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver AI/ML solutions leveraging GCP services including Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, AutoML, Gemini, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
- Develop, train, deploy, and integrate machine learning models into scalable production environments using Python and modern ML frameworks.
- Support data engineering, migration, and modernisation initiatives across GCP data platforms including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud SQL, Bigtable, and Firestore.
- Implement and promote MLOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and automation.
- Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, shape solutions, support technical workshops, and contribute to successful project delivery.
- Work alongside architects, data engineers, and project teams to drive innovation and ensure alignment with customer objectives and delivery standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, Data Science, Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Solution Architecture roles.
- Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and supporting machine learning solutions in production environments.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly Vertex AI, BigQuery, AutoML, and emerging Generative AI technologies.
- Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, NLP, MLOps, data pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and modern data platform technologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in client-facing environments.
- Experience working within an IT Services, Consulting, or Professional Services environment, with exposure to client-facing delivery, solution design, technical workshops, pre-sales support, or stakeholder engagement.
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer and Professional Data Engineer certifications are required; Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification is advantageous.
