Hiring: Senior Lead Data Engineer – GCP / dbt / MDM

Location: Bristol or Manchester, UK (2 to 3 days onsite in a week)

Work Mode: UK-based

Start: Immediate / ASAP

Role Overview

We are looking for Senior Lead Data Engineers to lead multidisciplinary feature teams delivering modern data products and supporting MDM architecture and implementation. The role involves improving the quality and consumption-readiness of FDP data and delivering data products end-to-end, from ODP selection through design, development, testing, DevOps, governance, deployment and production go-live.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Expert-level GCP / Google Cloud Platform or comparable cloud data engineering experience
  • Advanced hands-on experience with dbt, Python and SQL
  • Strong data modelling and ETL/ELT design experience
  • Proven end-to-end data product development
  • Experience with AI-enabled approaches to data development
  • Strong testing, data validation and data quality experience
  • Data architecture expertise
  • Strong Master Data Management (MDM) experience
  • MDM strategy, solution selection, integration and implementation
  • Experience with commercial off-the-shelf and bespoke MDM solutions
  • Experience designing real-time data product patterns
  • Strong DevOps, deployment, governance and production go-live experience
  • Senior technical leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams

  • Improve the quality, richness and consumption-readiness of FDP data
  • Deliver FDPs end-to-end from ODP selection to production go-live
  • Define and support MDM architecture and strategy
  • Assess and implement MDM products where appropriate
  • Design and develop bespoke MDM solutions
  • Deliver MDM integration and implementation activities
  • Design and implement real-time data product patterns
  • Support testing, validation, governance, deployment and go-live
  • Work within engineering, architecture, security and governance standards
  • Lead and provide technical direction to multidisciplinary feature teams
