Our client is looking for an experienced GCP Senior DevOps Consultant to design, automate, and operate scalable cloud-native platforms within a large financial services environment. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep expertise across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GKE/Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, and Helm. You’ll drive Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, and DevSecOps practices while supporting reliable and secure application deployments across hybrid and public cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate scalable Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
  • Build, manage, and troubleshoot GKE/Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Develop automation using Python and Bash/Shell scripting.
  • Build and maintain enterprise Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop Jenkins scripted pipelines using Groovy, including multi-branch pipelines, webhooks, credentials, and permissions.
  • Build and deploy containerised workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.
  • Work with GCP services including GKE, Managed Instance Groups (MIGs), Cloud SQL, and Memorystore.
  • Implement DevSecOps controls including SonarQube, Checkmarx, and container scanning.
  • Integrate monitoring and observability using Datadog, AppDynamics, and Grafana.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and application deployments.
  • Manage Git-based workflows and branching strategies supporting enterprise deployments.
  • Work with Maven, NPM, Nexus, and GCR-based build and repository environments.
  • Support enterprise networking and firewall requirements.
  • Improve platform reliability, performance, and automation across hybrid and public cloud environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
