GCP DevOps Engineer
💰 £400/day (Inside IR35) 📍London (2/3 days in office per week)
📅 1 year Contract
Our client is looking for an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer to design, automate and manage enterprise-grade cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role focuses on CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, cloud security, monitoring and platform reliability, working closely with Data Engineering, Application Development, Architecture and Operations teams.
The Role
- Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
- Automate application and data platform deployments.
- Manage source control integration and release orchestration.
- Deploy and manage workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement Kubernetes security, scaling, monitoring and cluster lifecycle management.
- Configure Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging and alerting.
- Develop dashboards, health checks and operational reporting.
- Define SLI/SLO metrics and support reliability practices.
- Support incident management, root cause analysis and production problem resolution.
- Automate operational tasks and infrastructure maintenance.
- Perform performance tuning and cloud cost optimisation.
- Support production deployments and critical incidents.
