Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of innovative, data-driven monitoring strategies across global clinical development programmes.
- Drive the adoption of adaptive monitoring approaches aligned with risk-based quality management principles.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance trial oversight, quality and operational effectiveness.
- Shape and improve monitoring processes, tools, standards and governance frameworks.
- Lead change and transformation initiatives that advance monitoring excellence across the organisation.
- Champion innovation through analytics, technology enablement and continuous improvement programmes.
- Monitor performance metrics and compliance outcomes, driving sustainable enhancements and best practices.

Essential Requirements
- Degree in life sciences, business, operations or a related discipline.
- Strong experience delivering innovative approaches within clinical trials and clinical operations environments.
- Deep understanding of clinical trial oversight, monitoring practices and regulatory expectations.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence cross-functional stakeholders globally.
- Experience using data, analytics and insights to drive continuous improvement and decision-making.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and change leadership skills within matrix organisations.

- Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: £67,900 to £126,100
- The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
- In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
