Role: GCP Google Integrator Engineer

Location: Bristol/Halifax, UK

Contract Type

Google Cloud Platform

Understanding and experience of infrastructure delivery.

Experience in Networking, Management Groups, IAM preferred but not required. It's more important that the candidate understands Google Cloud and is able to build working knowledge of the product set.

Skillsets required:

  • Strong background in Google Cloud Platform, with a solid foundation in the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Proven ability to manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate delivery across multiple stakeholders, including complex, multi-party technology implementations
  • Deep understanding of business impact, with the ability to align technical solutions to business goals within financial services or similarly complex environments
  • Excellent problem-solving capability, with a structured mindset to identify, manage, and remove technical and delivery blockers
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and build effective working relationships
  • Experience with Jira, Jira Align and Confluence

Role Scope

The purpose of the Integrator is to coordinate dependencies between the Google Lab and stakeholders external to the Lab (including other labs, platforms, and third parties). This includes supporting the delivery of complex, high-risk implementations across business and technology change. The Integrator plays a critical role in ensuring teams are aligned, dependencies are managed, and delivery can progress at pace in a controlled and governed way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sequence integration-related tasks in collaboration with the Lead Integrator, Engineering Leads & Business Areas, ensuring alignment to the backlog
  • Catalogue, track, and manage dependencies between the Lab and external stakeholders
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks to delivery plans
  • Work with internal teams and third parties to ensure effective interlock and enable timely delivery
  • Identify blockers to delivery and proactively mitigate or resolve them, escalating where required
  • Manage complex and high-risk implementations involving multiple internal and external parties
  • Provide technical guidance on deliveries supporting business teams with key SME technical discussions
  • Coordinate integration processes and implementation events across shared infrastructure, ensuring delivery is completed safely and efficiently
  • Lead or support Service Introduction (SI) processes, Your Change Framework (YCF), coordinating stakeholders to drive change through to completion
