GCP Platform Engineer - £600+ Per Day
Our client is one of the world’s leading FinTechs.
With a global reach, they build award-winning trading, payment, and banking software.
They’re growing in London (with great WFH flexibility) and are looking for a strong GCP and Platform Engineer to join them to support and evolve their Cloud solution, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, automated infrastructure, and release engineering.
This is an initial 3 - 6 month contract, paying ~£600+ per day.
You’ll manage platforms to ensure reliability, scalability, and security and you’ll be able to develop and implement systems enhancements, design new automated infrastructure, and implement deployment pipelines in a sophisticated Cloud (GCP) environment as well as researching new tools.

You’ll be part of a central team working to deliver complex projects through agile methods and you’ll need a desire to continually improve your own skills, to look for efficiencies, optimizations, and ways to improve through automation.

Requirements:
- Experience in a similar DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering role
- Great knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform – Data Proc, Data Flow, Big Query, etc
- Experience of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.
- Experience with Kubernetes containers (Docker useful too)
- Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins
- Good understanding of Linux infrastructure
- Experience with Big Data and Hadoop would be ideal too
