GCSE Science Tutor | Peterborough | 7.5 hours per week
Tuesday and/or Wednesday - some weekend hours also available
Competitive rates of pay £45-£50 per hour.
Silvercrest Education is looking for an experienced Science teacher or tutor to deliver face-to-face, one-to-one tuition for a young person working towards GCSE qualifications.
We’re seeking someone with strong subject knowledge, a calm and patient approach, and the ability to build trust and adapt lessons to individual needs.
The opportunity
- 7.5 hours per week, across 48 weeks of the year
- Face-to-face delivery in Peterborough
- Self-employed basis
- Hourly rate agreed according to qualifications and experience
- Start as soon as possible, following onboarding and safeguarding checks

What we’re looking for
- QTS and relevant secondary Science teaching experience
- Experience teaching GCSE Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
- Confidence preparing learners for their chosen GCSE specification
- Experience supporting autistic learners or pupils with additional needs
- Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service
