Job Description Summary

In the 12-month Programme Management Placement, the successful candidate will join our Customer Programmes team which supports civil and military customers of our propeller systems for airborne and amphibious applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities

In the 12-month Programme Management Placement, you will have diverse roles within the function, with responsibilities tailored to the specific needs of different teams. Responsibilities may include:

  • Coordinating customer requests such as RFQs and purchase orders, ensuring deadlines are met through collaboration with supply chain and engineering teams, and preparing customer order books.
  • Support Program Management Reviews (PMRs) by managing calendars, preparing agendas, and tracking actions.
  • Leading process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency, implementing Lean principles, and analyzing operational data to create performance metrics that drive team focus on strategic priorities.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Sourcing, Engineering, and Quality teams to meet customer and business objectives.

  • Facilities & Maintenance Projects (Caledonian) - Learning maintenance management and continuous improvement in a business operations environment, covering preventive and reactive maintenance.
  • Military Platforms (Cheltenham) - Broad range of program management, customer support, order management, and cross-functional business improvement activities within a military-focused organization.
  • BizJet Portfolio (Cheltenham) - Gain exposure to the complete program and product lifecycle, from new product introduction through to repair and overhaul services.
  • OE Value Stream Programs (Dowty) - Focused on planning, coordinating, and delivering manufactured spare parts to ensure reliable aftermarket support.
  • Programme Management Office (Cheltenham) - Supporting the successful delivery of complex projects from early bid and concept stages through to closure.
  • Programme Management (Cheltenham) - Offers a strong development opportunity in program management best practices by applying daily management and lean principles across all workstreams.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Currently studying a Business Administration/ Project Management/ Finance/ Data/ Engineering or Program Management related Bachelor’s or integrated Master’s degree.
  • On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above.
  • To be in your penultimate year of study and returning to education post placement.
