Gemini Test Lead

Warwick / Hybrid
Contract

We are Hiring Gemini Test Lead for an innovative, adaptable and results-oriented Test Lead to join our Technology team on the Gemini programme.

Gemini supports critical market processes. Change is delivered under industry modifications to fixed deadlines and phase-gated governance, which means the quality of testing is visible to stakeholders well beyond the delivery team. This is a role for someone who is comfortable being accountable for that visibility.

You will be joining a highly collaborative team environment that uses modern cloud platforms, tools and techniques to deliver technology change and improved operational performance.

You will be driving efficiencies and automation through continuous integration and delivery, test automation and disciplined quality engineering practice.

Our culture is extremely important to us, and we are looking for an individual who is passionate about people, processes and technology to ensure successful outcomes for our teams and the wider organization.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Own the test strategy for every change delivered. Produce and socialize a Master Test Plan at the start of each project or feature, covering phases of testing, entry and exit criteria, environment strategy, test data approach, and the methodology and toolkit for each phase. Secure stakeholder review and signoff and hold the same standard for all new change.
  • Own test closure and phase-exit governance. Produce test closure reports setting out artefacts prepared and executed, defects outstanding and the sign-off position, feeding directly into Go/No-Go decisions.
  • Own the QE metrics framework. Publish defect metrics for every test phase and automation metrics on a monthly cadence. Track and manage defect leakage and defect removal efficiency, and report test execution against plan with variance analysis.
  • Run all test phases through Azure DevOps. Structure test plans, suites and cases in ADO for ST, SIT and UAT; hold test design to an agreed written standard in Cucumber and Gherkin; and maintain requirement traceability through Epic, Feature, User Story, Test Case and Bug work item linking.
  • Lead UAT. Pair dedicated technical resources with business SMEs for end-to-end scenarios, run daily defect triage, own scenario and test data readiness, roll out and champion the Test and Feedback tool with the user training and ADO licensing to support it, and issue daily test reports.
  • Drive defect management from reactive to proactive. Instill the discipline first, then move the team upstream towards test-first practice.
  • Own the automation strategy and its visibility. Make automated regression coverage and results visible to stakeholders from the start of every change rather than on request. Plan automation into total cost of ownership and deliver it n-1 sprints within the project.
  • Mature the automated suite from component coverage towards genuine end-to-end assurance, baselined against mapped business and system use case scenarios.
  • Score the regression and high-value case list with business SMEs, agree the daily automated run that carries into sustain, and rationalize with the QE lead what cannot be automated so that future scoping is transparent.
  • Lead and support an extended testing team, including offshore delivery partners, holding them to the same standards, evidence and reporting cadence as the in-house team.
  • Demonstrate sound engineering principles by contributing technical knowledge directly. Propose code and software architecture changes that make the software more testable and propose and monitor quality metrics for functional and non-functional testing.
  • Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects and set and manage expectations with business and project stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
