GenAI Engineer – AI Agents & Databricks
I'm currently recruiting for a GenAI Engineer to join a major energy organisation, working on the development of cutting-edge Generative AI and agentic solutions to automate and enhance trading workflows.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work closely with trading teams and data engineers, building production-grade AI solutions across Databricks and Azure.

What you'll be doing
- Design and deploy Generative AI / LLM-based solutions to automate trading workflows
- Build AI agents and agentic workflows capable of orchestrating multi-step processes
- Use Databricks AI capabilities, including Mosaic AI, MLflow and Model Serving
- Build RAG pipelines integrating LLMs with data prepared by Data Engineering teams
- Apply prompt engineering, evaluation and optimisation techniques to improve LLM performance and reliability
- Work directly with trading and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into practical AI solutions

What we're looking for
- Strong hands-on experience building production Generative AI / LLM applications
- Experience designing and developing AI agents or agentic workflows
- Strong experience with Databricks AI, particularly Mosaic AI, MLflow and Model Serving
- Strong Python development skills
- Experience with GenAI/LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar
- Comfortable working independently in a client-facing environment

Nice to have
- Experience within Energy Trading, Capital Markets or Financial Services
- Understanding of Responsible AI, model governance or regulated environments
- Databricks and/or Azure AI certifications
