About The Role

As a General Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital part in maintaining the smooth operation of our accounting processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and processing intercompany invoices, statements and commissions (ensuring that all entities are charged correctly and timely and that all T&Cs agreed apply)
  • City ledger
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Assisting with month-end duties
  • Providing general support to the finance team including the Payroll Supervisor with processing the payroll journals and payments each month

About You

  • Preferably Minimum of 1-years’ experience in a similar position
  • Familiar with hotel accounting as well as hotel operations
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and experience with, enforcing internal controls and associated policies and procedures
  • Excellent spreadsheet and word processing skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Analytical and driven to initiate new ideas or plans
  • Strong and confident personality with the ability to work as part of a team
  • An organised and methodical approach
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good time management for meeting strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of and experience with accounting Front Office management software and Point of Sales systems preferred but not essential (preferably SUN Accounts, Adaco and Opera, Micros Simphony and Premier Core)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong desire to learn and develop a career within luxury hospitality
  • Good level of written and spoken English
  • Empathy and care for your guests and colleagues
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Resilience to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Pride and attention to detail in your work
  • Takes pride in own professional grooming
  • Professional and engaging personality
  • Confident & professional when interacting with high profile guests
  • Completion of A-Levels or equivalent
  • Certification or qualification in Accounting an advantage
