I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Previous experience in administration, retail, ecommerce, Buying, Merchandising, Marketing or a head-office environment would be useful but is not essential.
Working pattern
This is a full-time, 6 month maternity cover role, working across five days per week on a home-based basis.
As the role is fully remote, you’ll need to be comfortable working independently while remaining responsive and closely connected to the wider team throughout the working day.
Why MIMI & LULA?
You’ll be joining a friendly, entrepreneurial team in a growing international business.
Because we’re a small team, this role offers the opportunity to gain genuine exposure to different areas of the business - including Buying, Merchandising, Ecommerce and Marketing - rather than being confined to one narrow function.
For someone at the beginning of their career, it’s a great opportunity to understand how a fashion and product business works from the inside, gain practical commercial experience and build a broad range of skills over the course of the contract.
