We are currently recruiting for a General Assistant to join our team at one of our independent schools in Wakefield WF2 0PD.
Please note this is a term-time only position. You'll work 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 12pm until 3pm.

Role Overview
Working as part of the catering team, you will support the Chef and Chef Manager with food preparation and the smooth running of the kitchen and front of house. You’ll help deliver fresh, high quality food for pupils and staff, with breakfast, tuck shop, events and sports catering also provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting with food preparation and service
- Serving customers and providing friendly, professional customer service
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the kitchen and front of house
- Cleaning and maintaining crockery, cutlery, equipment and work areas
- Following food hygiene, health and safety, stock rotation and food storage procedures
- Taking food and equipment temperatures and completing records where required
- Assisting with cash handling in line with company procedures
- Reporting customer feedback, complaints and any incidents to the Manager
- Supporting the wider team with other reasonable duties, including holiday and sickness cover
- Completing all required training and following company policies and procedures
