Company Description

Title: General Assistant

Location: Little Bookham, Surrey

Salary: £13.22 p/h

Hours: 15 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Incentive: competitive bonus upon completion of all 3 stages

As a General Assistant you will…

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of lunch, and snacks according to established menus and recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
  • Maintain the cleanliness also back of house including washing up, sweeping and mopping.
  • To follow cleaning rotas, health and safety, and other policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
  • To complete all mandatory training and courses within the set time scales.

Qualifications

  • Ideally have experience working within Education catering but not essential.
  • Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
  • Fun and enthusiastic.
  • Have excellent organization skills.
  • Demonstrate great attention to detail.
  • Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team.
  • Possess great customer service skills.
  • Have a flexible approach to work.

Rate Per Hour: £13.20

Employment Type: Fixed Term - Term-time

Weeks per Year: 40

Contract Type: Term Time

Compensation: up to XXX 13.20 - hourly
