Hours: Around 20 hours per week | 2–3 days
Days: Monday–Friday – no weekend working

Looking for a part-time job that works around university?
We’re looking for enthusiastic General Assistants to join our BaxterStorey team in Inchinnan. This could be a great fit if you're at university or college and looking for 2–3 shifts per week, with the opportunity to build your hospitality experience while still having time for your studies.
You don't need years of catering experience. We're looking for people who are reliable, friendly, willing to learn and happy to get involved as part of a busy team. Full training will be provided.
What you'll be doing
You'll work across different areas of our catering operation, including:
- Helping with food preparation and setting up for service
- Serving customers and providing friendly customer service
- Operating tills
- Keeping counters and service areas stocked
- Supporting the kitchen team when required
- Clearing, cleaning and maintaining high standards throughout the day
- Helping with hospitality and events
- Working as part of the wider team to deliver a great service
What we're looking for
We're more interested in your attitude than having lots of previous experience.
You'll be:
- Friendly and confident dealing with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Happy working as part of a team
- Willing to learn and get stuck in
- Comfortable working in both kitchen and customer-facing areas
- Able to work 2–3 days between Monday and Friday
Previous hospitality, catering, retail or customer-service experience would be useful, but isn't essential as full training will be provided.

Job Description
We are seeking a General Assistant to join our team in Inchinnan, United Kingdom. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting our organisation across a range of administrative and operational tasks. The successful candidate will be organised, efficient, and professional, providing essential support to ensure our office runs smoothly. This position is available on either a part-time or full-time basis, Monday to Friday.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to various departments and team members
- Manage scheduling, appointments, and calendar coordination for staff members
- Prepare, format, and maintain accurate documentation and records
- Perform data entry tasks with precision and attention to detail
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and telephone enquiries
- Maintain organised filing systems and ensure documents are stored appropriately
- Support the coordination of meetings, including room bookings and preparation
- Assist with general office maintenance and ensure the workplace remains tidy and well-organised
- Prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining quality standards
- Provide support during induction processes for new team members
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
Qualifications
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all work
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanour and a supportive approach to working with colleagues
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to maintaining high standards
- Desirable experience in an administrative or office support role
Desirable experience in customer service or reception duties
- Familiarity with office management systems or databases
- Problem-solving ability and initiative in identifying solutions
- People skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
