The Wild Rabbit in Kingham is a fine dining restaurant and boutique hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. Recognised in the Top 50 Gastropubs, the Top 50 Boutique Hotels, and awarded 3 AA Rosettes, The Wild Rabbit blends culinary excellence with warm, authentic hospitality.
Working in close connection with Daylesford Farm, our menus showcase the best seasonal, organic produce, crafted with skill and creativity. Under the leadership of Executive Chef Callum Graham, our team combines classical technique with modern inspiration, making The Wild Rabbit one of the most exciting fine dining destinations in the Cotswolds.
ABOUT THE ROLE
At The Wild Rabbit, every detail matters. Our General Assistant plays an important role in ensuring our guests enjoy a warm, welcoming and beautifully maintained environment from the moment they arrive.
This is a hands-on and varied role that requires a proactive approach and a keen eye for detail. As a visible member of the team, you'll be on hand to offer friendly assistance to both guests and colleagues, responding flexibly to operational needs and helping to create memorable experiences that reflect the high standards of The Wild Rabbit and the wider Bamford Collection.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver warm, attentive and proactive service to all guests.
- Welcome guests and offer assistance without waiting to be approached.
- Complete the thorough morning preparation of The Wild Rabbit before guests arrive.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the bar, restaurant, reception, entrances and other public areas throughout the day.
- Prepare and maintain the front and rear terraces, including cleaning tables, sweeping and arranging furniture.
- Assist with receiving, checking and distributing deliveries.
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
- Previous experience in hospitality, cleaning, facilities, maintenance or a similar practical role is preferred.
- Experience of working within a luxury hotel, restaurant or other high-quality guest environment is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
- A genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to organise and prioritise scheduled duties while responding to changing operational needs.
- Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a wider team.
