General Manager – Sit & Sip, 15 Piries Place, Horsham RH12 1EH
Situated in the heart of Piries Place, Sit & Sip has become one of Horsham's favourite destinations for quality drinks and genuine hospitality.
We're not a pub, and we're not trying to be one.
Sit & Sip is a quality bar, built around exceptional drinks and what we believe is becoming a lost art — old-school hospitality. Our guests are welcomed by name. We encourage people to sit at the bar and enjoy the theatre of bartending. We host rather than simply serve. We provide attentive cocktail lounge-style table service throughout the evening. You won't find QR codes or app ordering here. Instead, you'll find a team that's expected to engage with every table, build genuine relationships with guests, and create an experience that people remember long after they've finished their last drink. The Role
We're looking for a General Manager who believes hospitality starts the moment a guest walks through the door. You'll lead by example, developing a team that understands that making drinks is only part of the job. The real skill is making people feel genuinely welcome. You'll coach your team to engage naturally with guests, remember names, recommend drinks with confidence, anticipate needs before they're asked, and create an atmosphere that's relaxed, personal, and memorable. You'll have the freedom to run the business as your own, while maintaining the standards that have helped Sit & Sip become one of Horsham's standout bars.

What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a General Manager or a highly capable Assistant General Manager ready for the next step
- A strong background in quality bars, cocktail venues or premium hospitality
- A genuine passion for old-school hospitality and guest engagement
- A proven ability to build, coach and develop high-performing teams
- Strong cocktail, wine and premium drinks knowledge
- Someone who leads from the floor, not the office
- Excellent commercial awareness and organisational skills
- A natural host who enjoys becoming part of the local community
- Knowledge of the Horsham hospitality scene would be a distinct advantage.
