Salary: £32,578 - £35,570 (Band 5)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Repairs and Maintenance team as a General Builder.
The role:
As a General Builder, you’ll carry out a variety of repairs and maintenance across the Council’s housing stock, including bricklaying, tiling, plastering, and concreting. You’ll ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard, while providing a professional and customer-focused service to tenants and residents.
What you will need:
- Good general building, repair, and maintenance knowledge.
- Competent in bricklaying and general building work.
- Able to plaster to a high standard.
- Able to carry out all aspects of carpentry.
- Able to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Able to complete and maintain relevant job records and administration.
- NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds equivalent, or recent relevant experience in a building trade discipline.
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English.
- Full UK driving licence.
