Barnes Law is a boutique law firm founded by Yulia Barnes in 2019. Since then, we’ve grown year on year — and we’re just getting started.
We’re looking for an ambitious General Commercial Solicitor who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, and grow with us. If you want to sit quietly in the background, this isn’t the role for you. But if you want a platform to accelerate your career, with direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility, read on.
What you’ll be doing
- Attending client meetings and making a real contribution
- Drafting and negotiating contracts with minimal supervision
- Producing precise, persuasive correspondence
- Taking part in regular training and continuous professional development
- Representing the firm at networking events and helping us build lasting relationships

What we’re looking for
- English law degree, strong academic foundations
- Experience (ideally at a boutique or reputable firm) with exposure to commercial work
- Excellent drafting skills and razor-sharp attention to detail
- Strong time management and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to invest in your own growth
- Flexibility to put in extra hours when the work demands it — balanced with the rewards of real career progression
What you’ll get
