Cardiff Office/ Hybrid Working

We are supporting the executive search for an experienced General Counsel on behalf of a well-established UK financial services organisation.

This is a Board-facing leadership opportunity for an exceptional legal professional with significant experience operating within UK regulated financial services.

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (England & Wales) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Extensive senior in-house legal experience within banking, building societies, or financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of PRA, FCA, SM&CR, and Consumer Duty.
  • Experience advising Boards and Executive Committees on complex legal, governance, and strategic matters.
  • A proven track record of leading legal support through organisational transformation.
  • Strong corporate governance experience. Company Secretariat experience is advantageous.
