General Dairy Operator – Retail Milk

Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion liters of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.
The Opportunity:
As a General Dairy Operator, you will play a key role within one of our production departments, including Intake & Processing, Retail Milk, Cheese, or Butter. Working as part of a dedicated shift team, you will help deliver daily production targets and ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and in full.
Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, health and safety, and operational excellence, you will follow established procedures and contribute to a strong food safety culture while supporting the efficient production of high-quality dairy products.
What Does Success Look Like:
- Operate effectively within production departments, following all work instructions, standard operating procedures, and cleaning requirements.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping by adopting a "clean as you go" approach and reporting any hazards or spillages promptly.
- Complete all production documentation accurately and in real time to ensure full product traceability.
- Adhere to food safety, quality, legality, and traceability standards, including HACCP requirements where applicable.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments, communicating effectively and supporting site-wide objectives.
- Identify and escalate any operational, quality, or safety concerns to supervisors or senior team members in a timely manner.
- Support the delivery of a zero-harm culture by following health and safety procedures and contributing to accident prevention initiatives.
- Continuously develop skills and knowledge through training while ensuring compliance with company policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

What Will You Bring?
We invite applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic people to work as Dairy Operators within our Production Operation with opportunities available in various departments working across various shift patterns at our Ballyrashane site.
This is a very exciting time to join the company. Roles are available across our manufacturing site in the areas of Intake & Process (both variable shift patterns). All roles will also involve manual lifting, completing production/cleaning records and maintaining quality standards. A high standard of numeracy and literacy is therefore required. Computer skills are also required for this role. Applicants must be able to use initiative to solve problems and work proactively with minimal supervision.

A knowledge of food safety and previous production experience or experience in a production/manufacturing environment sector would be advantageous.
