General Foreman – Civil Engineering

Build Projects That Shape Scotland

Are you an experienced General Foreman looking for your next challenge with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across Scotland?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured work, offering long-term career stability and the chance to work on high-profile civil engineering projects.

What You'll Be Doing

As a General Foreman, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects, leading site teams while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing day-to-day site operations and supervising subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.
  • Coordinating with Site Agents, Engineers, and Project Managers to maintain progress.
  • Promoting a strong health and safety culture across site activities.
  • Monitoring quality standards and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Supporting the planning and organisation of labour, plant, and materials.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced General Foremen who have:

  • A background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to site management and problem-solving.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Flexibility to work across projects throughout Scotland's Central Belt.
