About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking General Housekeeping Assistant / House Porter to join our Housekeeping team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation while supporting the smooth operation of a luxury hospitality environment.

This full-time role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, while providing essential operational support to the Housekeeping department.

As a General Housekeeping Assistant / House Porter, you will play a key part in ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay. You will support housekeeping operations by handling linen deliveries, assisting room attendants, maintaining public areas, and responding to operational requests across the hotel.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Deliver and collect linen, towels, guest supplies, and amenities throughout the hotel.
  • Support Room Attendants by replenishing housekeeping trolleys and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from guests and other departments.
  • Assist with the movement and storage of furniture, equipment, and supplies when required.
  • Remove waste, recyclables, and used linen in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Ensure housekeeping storage areas, service corridors, and linen rooms remain clean and organised.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and periodic cleaning schedules.
  • Support the preparation and set-up of guest rooms, meeting spaces, and other hotel areas as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and Food & Beverage departments.
  • Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and security procedures at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and help deliver exceptional guest experiences.

What You Bring

  • Previous housekeeping, cleaning, porter, or hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to support the wider team wherever required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • A positive, flexible, and dependable attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving supplies.
